Why Action Based Learning Hallway Sets?

All hallway sets are manufactured using commercial grade vinyl on commercial printers.  Sticker Size is up to 2x larger than the standard sensory path and quantity of stickers in each set ranges between 75 to 120 stickers per set! How are these adhered to the floors? Are they permanent? 

They are adhesive stickers. Once you place them where you like them in the hallway, we recommend waxing over to maintain their structure throughout the year. If you decide you do not want them one day down the road they can be removed when the floors are stripped. If you decide to keep them, the maintenance can do a light strip and re-wax (which is typically how they do all of the floors each year).

Integrating Movement with Academics in the ABL Lab

To start, students will work only on balance by moving the marble through the figure 8 and waves on the board. As basic movements are mastered, progressions can be added to introduce academic content. Student's can work on teacher provided content with a partner, using flash cards, or from the smart board.

836 ABL Learning Assessment Steps

[Pre K - 2nd Grade] ABL Assessment steps are used in the ABL Learning Lab at the early elementary level. Children begin by walking up and down stairs, and increase difficulty using progressions as laid out in the ABL Lab Manual. As children advance, they hold various objects to engage the full body while encourage balance, proprioception, crossing the midline, and motor skills. More advanced learners, will be able to utilize ABL Academic Card Sets as part of the Assessment Steps Station, to anchor learning and improve retention and memory retrieval in the classroom.

[3rd - 6th Grade] ABL Platform steps are used in the ABL Learning Lab for ages 3rd grade through 6th grade. Day to Day

Typically students will spend 2-5 minutes at each station in the lab, rotating at the sound of a buzzer. Some of the stations include flip-chart holders, the content of the flip chart can be customized based on the math curriculum for that day. Lab can be utilized to review what is currently being taught in the classroom to anchor learning, as well as pre-test review. Students can also pair up and work with partners - one student will be moving while the other student is quizzing them. Immersion labs often serve as an additional place for students to reset, refocus, and re-enter the classroom.
