Brain Body Connection
There are muscles in our eyes that focus near and far, and muscles that allow us to track left to right, and up & down. Eye tracking exercises strengthen the muscles in our eyes to increase the length of time that the eyes can focus on reading.
Integrating Movement with Academics in the ABL Lab
To start, students will work only on balance by moving the marble through the figure 8 and waves on the board. As basic movements are mastered, progressions can be added to introduce academic content. Student's can work on teacher provided content with a partner, using flash cards, or from the smart board.
Rotational movement of the trunk, Lateral push and pull off legs while balancing, Slight knee bends and engaged core.
12 Foundations of Learning Readiness Benefits:
Balance, Eye Tracking / Visual Reaction, Peripheral Awareness / Body in Space
Get ready to have a fun filled time with these soft play stones! These soft, tactile stones enhance vestibular balance, promotes movement, coordination, and activates muscle development. Have your student walk on these colorful rainbow river stones while learning to balance! Using movable balance objects allows for different patterns and distance between objects. This creates problem-solving and motor planning opportunity.
Each set includes [3pcs]- RED, YELLOW, GREEN
Whaler Sensory Board
The whaler sensory board is textured with waves and bubbles on the surface to provide children with tactile stimulations to feet. The ergonomic board is designed for young children ages 1.5+ to either sit in or stand on for a fun rock balancing game. The grooved waves design on the back can prevent finger trapping injuries.
The Cross Lateralization Station focuses on Crossing the Midline and allows for a variety of progressions students can do as they strengthen this critical foundation to learning!
Package includes a set of 4 over/underbars, and commercial padded Roll and Crawl Mat. Progressions begin with the mat only. Students navigate through the activities provided in the Action Based Learning Lab Manual.

Cardio Kids Deluxe Skier
CARDIO KIDS DELUXE SKIER
Lead children towards an active lifestyle by duplicating real world sports movements! The Deluxe Skier takes indoor downhill skiing to a new level - with varied lateral motions, the whole body is engaged in a rigorous and fun workout. This skier takes children on an adventure to imagine themselves in the Olympic downhill ski race, all while elevating their heart rate and improving balance! The unique movement engages the quadriceps, triceps, deltoids, trapezius, external obliques, and entire range of central core muscles including the transverse abdominis, back, and pelvis.
"An excellent age appropriate unit that provides a complete cardiovascular workout!"
The child engages in lateral movements that distribute their body weight, while in motion. By engaging the upper body and the core muscles, children are able to increase trunk control, while simultaneously improving balance and coordination. Unit allows for progressions in the ABL Lab, as experienced users to eventually ski without use of the safety handrails. Portable wheel system makes it easy to maneuver. Arrives fully assembled and includes built in computer.

Spatial Awareness Tactile Response - Adapted Box and bridge set also includes an extra large patterned walking floor mat and poster set. The boxes and bridges are designed for encouraging children to partake in numerous walking "patterns" as outlined by the floor mat.
Includes 4 boxes, 3 bridges, and a patterned walking mat
ABL Ladder Package
The ABL Learning Ladder anchors academic concepts kinesthetically by combining cognitive brain functions with physical movement. As a result stronger neural connections are built in the brain leading to improved student academic performance. Ships UPS Ground
The Action Based Learning Ladder Pack INCLUDES:
Action Based Learning Ladder
Action Based Learning Ladder Manual/Activity Guide
3 Sets of Academic Cards (ABC's, Numbers, Colors/Shapes)
NOTE: Available in package set only, not for individual sale.
ABL Keyboard Mat
The mat uses eye tracking skills which are important for reading and copying information from the board to paper. It also practices using peripheral vision to increase eye fitness. Children can learn their numbers, letters, punctuation, and more!
Green Balance Arch
Children get information about where we are in space (spatial orientation) from our feet and not our seat!Balance promotes better focus and attention.Balancing activities challenge the brain to adjust its spatial orientation by using the proprioceptor system. This balance arch is the perfect way to incorporate balance into your classroom.

The balance rope is 6 foot long. The 2" round polypropylene rope provides a more challenging walking surface than a traditional flat beam, increasing the balance difficulty for all ages.
Why are gross motor skills important?
Gross motor skills are important to enable children to perform everyday functions, such as walking, running, skipping, as well as playground skills (e.g. climbing) and sporting skills (e.g. catching, throwing and hitting a ball with a bat). These are crucial for everyday self-care skills like dressing (where you need to be able to stand on one leg to put your leg into a pant leg without falling over).
Gross motor abilities also have an influence on other everyday functions. For example, a child's ability to maintain table top posture (upper body support) will affect their ability to participate in fine motor skills (e.g. writing, drawing, and cutting) and sitting upright to attend to class instruction, which then impacts on their academic learning. Gross motor skills impact on your endurance to cope with a full day of school (sitting upright at a desk, moving between classrooms, carrying your heavy school bag).
Flexible and versatile 2" diameter 6" circumference textured poly rope.
Length 6 ft.
Lily Bridge Set
The curvy bridge board can be used to construct a humpback bridge or a reverse bridge, allowing children to practice the actions of walking or crawling up and down and to enhance their physical coordination, dexterity, and balance. The process of making changes in island heights and creating different path combinations of the Water Lily system can help children cultivate spatial concepts and improve their action planning and problem-solving skills
5 Piece Set - 2 Bridges, 3 lily pads
12 Piece Set - 4 bridges, 8 lily pads
The balance beam enables kids to be challenged while improving balance and coordination. Kids improve vestibular balance, movement coordination, and concentration while understanding their body's center of gravity. The balance beam also helps to improve self-confidence, learning stability and sense of reaction. Each unit is equipped with the ability to add another beam on each end, thus allowing facility operators to make the beam as long as they need.
Each box is a different height, size, and is uniquely designed to accommodate several attachments and can easily be arranged in multiple configurations to create an endless array of obstacle courses. Boxes include graphics of oranges, lettuce, and strawberries

Tactile Stepping Pathway
Tactile Stepping Pathway
Children work on balance while walking on the raised and rigid tactile pathway.
Improve spatial awareness while balancing
Balancing activities challenge the brain to adjust its spatial orientation using the proprioceptive system.
Balancing helps aid the brain to place words on a page, to read from left to right and to write patterns in sequence.
Activities that involve balancing help the brain to anchor information and improve memory retrieval.
