Stimulates the cerebral cortex, the part of the brain that helps you focus Strengthens the core and helps with the development of balance Helps with sensory integration: how the brain organizes and interprets information. Sensory integration provides a foundation for later, more complex learning & behavior Increases spatial awareness Swinging movement helps perceptual skills, while also functioning as a calming activity
Our Monkey-See eye tracker station helps to increase visual stamina for test taking. There are muscles in our eyes that focus near and far and muscles that allow us to track left to right and up and down. These muscles should be strengthened in the same way as our arm muscles. Eye tracking exercises strengthen the muscles in our eyes to increase the length of time that eyes can focus on reading.

Spinning or "scooting" on our scooter board helps children develop receptive and expressive language. This is where they learn to receive, interpret, and express language.
Padded scooters come with a lifetime warranty.

Tactile Stepping Pathway
Tactile Stepping Pathway
Children work on balance while walking on the raised and rigid tactile pathway.
Improve spatial awareness while balancing
Balancing activities challenge the brain to adjust its spatial orientation using the proprioceptive system.
Balancing helps aid the brain to place words on a page, to read from left to right and to write patterns in sequence.
Activities that involve balancing help the brain to anchor information and improve memory retrieval.
Hearing a steady beat and keeping a steady beat develops the internal dialogue, that little voice inside your head. This inner dialogue starts around 3-5 years old by hearing/listening to human voices (talk, sing, pitch).Internal dialogue is necessary for acquiring receptive and expressive language.
These concepts aid the brain in auditory discrimination by sounding out letter sounds and words in a receptive language and discriminating words in spoken language.

The vestibular system includes the parts of the inner ear and brain that help control balance, eye movement and spatial orientation. This system helps to keep students stable and upright. If your student has trouble with body awareness, (Sensory system: the vestibular system) or balance (sensory system: the proprioceptive system) they will often struggle with classroom activities such as letter and number formation, handwriting, copying from the board and tying their shoes.
The Green Bean
Children can get in the pod themselves, applying deep, even pressure to many sensitive areas of the body. Some children like to gently rock side-to-side for a cocooning-calm. Can also be used as a reading pod, or rocking partner activity.
